Meet Female Toronto Rapper Lunaa Soleil.

What hometown are you repping?

I grew up in Malton which is in Mississauga.

Who are some of your influences?

I grew up listening to Lauryn Hill and Biggie as well as Eminem. I now listen to artists like G-Herbo, Lil Baby, Nicki Minaj, Tory Lanez, Drake, and Megan Thee Stallion.

What has been your biggest accomplishment as an artist so far?

This year I have dropped 8 videos! Including this double video and the year is not done! This is the most consistent I have been my whole career.

What are some of the accomplishments you are aiming for in the near future?

I want to start my acting career! This year I did a couple of skits in my videos and I enjoyed it. It made me open to the idea of becoming an actress!

Tell us about your most recent release. What is it about? What is the message you are trying to convey through your music?

My New release is a 2 Song video called “Comeback / Lemonade”. The first song is an anthem type song! It's mainly about me working hard to polish my craft! A lot of people doubted me and wasn’t feeling me and this song is me expressing that perseverance is key! Lemonade is a club banger! Its sort of an ego track. It's about getting money and being confident! Pretty much about being a boss and being free-spirited while doing so. My music is never one message or angle but through it all, I just want to show others that music is self-expression! It's an avenue to speak your mind in a fun and entertaining way.

How long have you been in the game?

I have been in the game for 6 years now! I have been writing music since I was 8 years old! In fact, I started off making R&B music and thought it was too boring and it made me feel vulnerable! I started rapping because I felt it was easier to express myself! I Had a tough upbringing and Rap helped me express my anger! I Felt like RnB made me dwell more on my sadness, plus my Dad was a 90’s Rapper and I always looked up to him!

What is your message to your fans?

My message is that you can do anything you put your mind to literally! There are going to be naysayers along your journey but pay attention to the support, it will inspire you to inspire others. Do not be afraid to go back to the drawing board! You may have to go through trials and tribulations, but precision is key! Mastery is Learning First!
