xlowwx Announces Emotionally Charged New Single “Honestly” from Upcoming Project Romance is Dead

Updated: 6 days ago

Raw, moody, and unapologetically real—Montreal-based artist xlowwx is carving out a powerful niche in the alt-R&B and emotional trap scene. With haunting melodies and emotionally disarming lyricism, she returns with a bold new single titled “Honestly”, the first release from her forthcoming concept project Romance is Dead.

Blending sonic elements reminiscent of The Weeknd, XXXTENTACION, and 070 Shake, xlowwx pulls listeners into a world shaped by heartbreak, lust, and the emotional detachment that follows. In Honestly, she delivers an ice-cold confession, brushing off feelings that once ran deep and rejecting the weight of past connections. It’s not about closure—it’s about letting go without explanation.

“I’m not trying to fix it anymore,” says xlowwx. “I’ve felt enough, cried enough, and now, I’m just being honest—about where I’m at, about what love feels like now.”

Born in Lebanon and raised in Montreal, xlowwx began producing music at age 15 before stepping into the spotlight as a vocalist. Her debut project, My Melancholy, was created during the COVID-19 lockdown—a raw, emotional body of work that marked a turning point in her journey. What started as an escape from depression and heartbreak became a deeper purpose and calling.

Now, her upcoming project Romance is Dead expands on those foundations, exploring love’s disintegration in the age of instant gratification. Honestly is the first taste: atmospheric, wounded, and piercingly transparent.

With an ever-growing fanbase and a sound that fuses pain with purpose, xlowwx stands out as an emerging voice for a generation navigating love and identity in a distracted world.
