Menace is a hip-hop artist born and raised on the west side of Chicago, delivering music driven by perseverance, ambition, and an unshakable hustle mentality. Growing up in a household where music played constantly, Menace was immersed in sound from an early age. His father’s record collection—spanning multiple eras—helped shape his ear and laid the foundation for a lifelong connection to music.
Influenced by hip-hop legends including 2Pac, Twista, Jeezy, Eminem, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Yo Gotti, and Bump J, Menace absorbed the culture daily. After school, he rushed home to watch 106 & Park and Rap City: The Basement, studying the craft before cartoons even came on. Watching Bow Wow succeed at a young age made one thing clear—age was not a limitation, and music was a real path.
Menace began writing seriously at 16 while still in high school, filling composition notebooks every day until songwriting became second nature. Although the desire to rap was always there, it wasn’t until he wrote his first 16-bar verse—in just ten minutes—that everything clicked. From that moment on, he knew music was his purpose and something he wanted to pursue relentlessly.
His latest release reflects that mindset.
