Finego is a hip-hop artist from Silver Spring, Maryland, whose music is rooted in survival, therapy, and lived experience. Growing up in Montgomery County, Finego discovered music early as a form of emotional release, writing his first song at just eight years old. By fourteen, he had stepped fully into the booth—using recording not as an escape, but as a way to process life in real time.

His upbringing was marked by turbulence and loss. In 2019, Finego lost his grandmother just months before graduating high school, followed by the loss of his mother in 2020. Those moments reshaped his outlook and deepened his connection to music. As a teenager, he struggled with discipline and direction—skipping school, getting caught up in street habits, and being held back his senior year—but music remained the one constant grounding him through chaos, mistakes, and grief.

Finego began recording and shooting music videos in 2016, steadily sharpening his craft. In 2020, he released his first official records, signaling a turning point. Sonically, his music balances confidence and vulnerability, pairing street realism with emotional clarity. Influenced by artists such as Sauce Walka, Babyface Ray, and Luh Tyler, Finego delivers a sound that carries swagger without sacrificing honesty.

For Finego, music is more than entertainment—it’s therapy, documentation, and self-expression. His songs reflect growth through hardship, transforming personal experiences into narratives listeners can connect with. Each release marks progression from where he started to where he’s headed, building a catalog defined by resilience, consistency, and purpose.
