Salt Lake City, UT — American singer and songwriter Courtney Graf is carving out a powerful independent path with music rooted in empowerment, resilience, and emotional truth. Originally from Montville, New Jersey and now based in Salt Lake City, Courtney has been performing and writing since the age of five, developing into a commanding vocalist and storyteller who channels lived experience into songs that resonate deeply.

Inspired by artists such as Creedence Clearwater Revival, Ella Langley, Laney Wilson, Jill Scott, Shania Twain, and Adele, Courtney’s sound blends soulful depth with raw authenticity. Her music explores growth on the other side of pain—centering accountability, self-respect, and the courage it takes to choose yourself.

Her latest release, “When I Leave You,” is a striking reflection on knowing your worth and walking away from a relationship where love exists but self-respect has been compromised. The song captures the emotional complexity of leaving while still loving deeply, and the strength required to stop accepting less than you deserve. With powerful vocals and emotionally grounded writing, Courtney delivers a message of quiet strength and personal clarity.

Courtney’s artistry is inseparable from her real-life transformation. After surviving a motorcycle accident on her wedding night and later reporting an abusive ex-partner to the police, she rebuilt her life from the ground up with self-respect as the foundation. Those experiences deeply inform her music, giving her work a sense of honesty, purpose, and healing that listeners can feel.

Previously signed to Roc Nation and Wilhelmina Models during her time in New York City, Courtney now creates independently and without limitation. She is also a graduate of Arizona State University, earning a BA in Digital Audience Marketing Summa Cum Laude. Currently, she works as a Senior Strategist at Chamber.Media, where she writes, acts in, and produces commercials—allowing her to self-fund her music while maintaining full creative control.

Now in the process of creating a self-funded album, Courtney Graf is making her most authentic work to date. Using music as a vehicle for healing, empowerment, and connection, she continues to build a body of work that speaks to listeners reclaiming their voice and power.
