Blueface has reacted to being drawn into Chris Brown‘s most recent outburst by admonishing the R&B singer for bringing others into his latest public drama.
Chloë Bailey’s announcement on Thursday (February 16) that Brown is featured on her latest single, “How Does It Feel,” was met with swift backlash due to his past accusations of domestic violence, most notably his infamous assault on Rihanna in 2009. While responding to the backlash, Breezy asked why Blue isn’t held to the same standards as him.
“IF Y’ALL STILL HATE ME FOR A MISTAKE I MADE AS A 17 year old please kiss my whole entire ass,” he wrote in an Instagram Story on Friday (February 17). “I’M FUCKING 33! I’M SO TIRED OF Y’ALL RUNNING WIT THIS NARRATIVE..YOU WEIRD ASS N-GGAS are the SAME ONES THAT TUNE IN EVERY WEEK TO SEE BLUEFACE CHRISEAN BEAT THE SHIT OUT EACH OTHER IN FRONT OF THE WORLD.”
The “Thiotiana” rapper responded with a series of videos posted to his IG Stories, which see him empathize with Breezy before proceeding to mock him for not only bringing other men’s domestic violence accusations into the conversation, but also complaining about unfair treatment.
While he never appears upset about having his name brought up, Blueface makes it clear that he doesn’t agree with Chris Brown’s deflection.
“Bruh, we ain’t got nothing to do with that,” Blueface continues in the video. “Handle your candle, deal with your situation how you deal with it. Only thing I disagree with is you posting all these random white people and me and the bitch and tryna, like, distract from YOUR thing. You gotta stand on it ‘Cuz: if you beat the bitch up, shit, you beat the bitch up!”
At that point in the video, Chrisean Rock can be heard laughing at her on-again/off-again boyfriend’s statements as he continues to downplay their volatile relationship while casually referring to both her and Rihanna as “bitch.”
The couple’s often violent relationship drama has played out in public, on social media, and most recently on reality TV, since before they confirmed they were in fact dating. Their tumultuous relationship has resulted in multiple public spats, arrests and property damage.
Ultimately, Blueface insinuates that Chris Brown might not be facing as much public disapproval if he had, perhaps, assaulted a different woman.
“My last opinion is: ‘Cuz, you beat up the wrong bitch!,” he quips. “I got a bitch, she gon’ fight back; so I’ma get less time, you feel me? You beat up the bitch that just performed at the Super Bowl!”
Despite the criticisms, not everyone was against Chloë Bailey linking up with Chris Brown. Some fans were quick to defend the singer from the backlash on Twitter.
“Chris Brown is the GOAT everyone that’s crying your tears taste amazing. Move on!” wrote one fan. Another added: “Everyone hating on Chris is so exhausting, like bruh, sis, go be negative elsewhere.”
Fellow R&B star H.E.R., City Girls member JT and Bebe Rexha were also among the big names who expressed excitement for the song in Chloë’s Instagram comments section.
